Windows 10: Hacking 5/21/19

At appx. 9:30AM I was hacked by someone claiming MicroSoft Tech. named Alex Smith from the following numbers

956-205-0398

354-245-8301, and

209-062-9212


Having placed a call to MicroSoft I thought nothing of it. Alex Smith tried to download "Utraview by DucFabulous" a Remote Control and Access Software (Malware) after going to WWW.HELPME.COM which took over my computer and allowed Smith to control the download. The real issue now is that, McAfee, now charged me $179.00 to connect to the Computer and remove the partly installed Utraview Software after I disconnected the PC to stop the download before Smith could lock the system after asking $1,175.00 to correct the Issue by MicroSoft Software. The next issue is that McAfee sold me the McAfee "Total Protection for 5-devises" which allowed www.Helpme.com to connect to the computer without allowing granted access and took full control. My daughter spent 9:30 to about 12:30 on the phone with McAfee, then I spent the remainder time until 5:15 PM CST without resolving the issues. McAfee employee asked that I return call after the system PC finished it"s reboot in which she had me to do. The issue with this is, The teady "Repeating Steps" and repeating myself that what McAfee Employee was doing "Was Not Working." The second issue with this, McAfee rendered my PC useless to the Internet after restarting the PC. I finally had to restore the system back to 5/19/19 setting just to gain access to Internet. My Daughter and I will be going to the bank 5/22/19 about the additional $179.00 by McAfee on top of the software fee of appx. $90 (New Customer Discount) for McAfee Total Protection 5-Devises cost, then I would like to talk with a Attorney about the 8 hours on the phone, being told to pay the $179 to fix their error of their Software allowing www.HelpMe. com access to the PC.

We sincerely regret for the inconvenience caused, and appreciate the steps you have taken so far to fix this issue.

The error code 19 describes that, Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged.

Recommended resolution

• Uninstall and reinstall the driver.
• Revert to the most recent successful registry configuration.
  

Before we could reset the computer to factory settings, I suggest you to refer to the below article and perform the troubleshooting steps suggested for error code 19.

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

 

Email Hacked

thank you for your response and the great information you provided.

I use two step authentication for my email account and all important web sites. I also use the full version of Malwarebytes to protect my computer.

But I will do the scans you suggested AdwCleaner and Limewire.com and let you know the results.

I am worried though that the webcam installed on my laptop could have been hacked. I never use it and forgot about it, so never disabled it.

Any suggestions as to find if it was actually hacked?
