Windows 10: Halo Wars 2 Does not Install on my PC

I purchased Halo Wars 2 Ultimate Edition and after waiting for 2-3 Hours for the installer to copy the 24Gb archive files to my PC I was greeted by this install failure issue (see below). There was no mention of this particular failure anywhere on the Halo Wars 2 Website and I seem to be one of a number of people having this issue. I cannot believe a Microsoft installer fails due to an old Visual CLib app package. That's very poor. Does this mean the game will fail if another app updates the visual c library afterwards? You don't even get a chance to ignore the error. I have tried to uninstall the VCLibs app from the WindowsApps folder with PowerShell but I'm not sure it will work and I will probably mess up other apps I have on my PC.

This is the only game I have tried to install on Windows 10 X64 Pro without success and it cost me a lot of money.

What solved this issue for myself was the following. Open the Xbox App and sign in. Go to the search option, input halo wars, click on the PC version of Halo Wars 2. Then click view in microsoft store, you should hopefully be presented with the install button.
I was very upset, seeing as I bought the Ultimate edition and already played through the game around launch. Using the microsoft store has been an unpleasant experience every step of the way.

The Halo Wars: Definitive Edition is not included in the bundle. This may be the reason why you're encountering issues installing the content. To get this item, you'll need to purchase it separately. Refer to the following links for more information:

If you didn't receive a code, it may be for one of the following reasons:
