Windows 10: Hand Computer Down to Wife - Transfer Windows 10 License?

At some point, I'll probably be handing my computer down to my wife. I bought Windows 10 Pro from the Microsoft Store and activated it on this computer. When I pass the computer on, I'd like to make sure the Windows 10 license passes on to my wife's Microsoft Account. Do I just go to account.microsoft.com > Devices and remove the device from my account? Then, I'll either do a clean install or a Fresh Start and set things up with my wife's account. Will the Windows 10 license transfer over to her account properly?

i bought the license. My laptop was originally loaded with win 7 and was upgraded free couple of months.

in this case, if i understand you correctly, i can transfer with below steps. Right.?

and to my question do you have an update.

does OS upgrades if my activation key is changed.
