I would be very surprised if Microsoft releases Build 9901, simply because an email I received (as an Insider) said we won't get a new Build until January 21. They should be way, way, way past Build 9901 by then. Well in that case, I won't have to download the next Build when it comes out, as they are apparently being leaked in advance now.

I was surprised I made a connection on the 'Contact Support' App in Build 9901! Seems to be up and running.
(He knew what Build I was using and seemed rather pleased that I was excited about Windows 10. *Smile )

 

Hey Edwin, with all the testing you've done on the various W10 builds, I think the least MS can do is give you a free copy, once the final version is released. *Thumbs

I'd love to get my hands on 9901, but I just don't have the guts to do it.

 

I don't think so, although, I didn't hang around to get interrogated either!
We're creating excitement, and that's gonna be money in the bank for them, eventually.

As far as the Build is concerned, it's not much to brag about, yet; it is, however, somewhat educational to learn how to sync and set up your system and content, then learn to teach 'Cortana' to recognize commands associated with your system and content.

 

Has anyone used Windows Phone App in Build 9879, or 9860, 9841 for that matter?

Well I don't see any comments about the issues I'm running into (e.g. Nvidia Drivers on X99 Motherboard). Looks like I'll look for the Consumer Preview for a fix. *Rolleyes

There’s a reason Windows 10 build 9901 introduced a black taskbar. All of that will become clear with the new UI v.soon

Maybe they're going to ditch header/border colors altogether.

 

I hope they aren't planning to introduce stupid disembodied menus (used on OSX and Ubuntu).
