Windows 10: Hard Drive is almost full after windows reinstallation

I just recently reinstalled windows to get a fresh start, but when I went to file explorer, my hard drive is over half full. That means that there should be 50gb of something in there. I suspected it was the windows.old folder, but that had nothing but a user folder in there that only took up 5mb. If I highlighted everything. Everything in my drive says it takes up only 20gb, which makes more sense, but in file explorer, it says over 50gb is used. Why does file explorer say half of my hard drive is filled up when it isn't? Is this just a case of restarting and it should fix itself?

• Are you trying to reinstall Windows 8 or Windows 10?
• If you already upgraded to Windows 10, were you able to create a new copy of the recovery drive?

Windowed Hard Drives

On the contrary, showing off "slow tech" by adding a window to a hard drive is a "dumb" idea. Do you really want to be showing off a whole "7200-10000 RPM of power" or would you rather show off a plain SSD drive? (If you really desire to "show off")

Adding any window to any drive is just stupid. I just suggested an easier option for you since manufactures don't put windows on the latest hard drives.
