Windows 10: Hard Drive Issue in BIOS and Driver Install Issue

Hello,Since lately, my PC is fine and booting properly. But, when I enter BIOS, I don't see any recognized Hard Drives HDD for my PC. It boots perfectly into Windows unless an external USB is plugged in, all is fine, except that small issue. I'm running Intel Rapid Storage Technology as my SATA Configuration, as it is one of my BIOS Defaults. When I boot through my USB, the next time I can boot into Windows, unless I reinstall Windows. It just keeps loading and loading and loading.Another problem I face is, I cannot install drivers. What I mean is, I can install them from the ASUS web

• unhooked HDD
• restarted
• yay !!
• reconnected HDD
• restarted
• yay !!

also , try method 3
How do I unlock the drive where Windows 10 is installed?

Appreciate your detailed return. Your added steps really helped.

Assuming I did the steps correctly, this is where I am now.

Screenshot 12 shows my CD Disc shortcut on my desktop.
Screenshot 10 shows the CD Drive shortcut listed in the “Send to” listing.
Screenshot 11 shows the “Send to” listing after the steps were taken, but the CD drive name is not listed.

So, it appears the steps did not work for me. And, I did try the steps, “If it still won’t do ……” and still no luck.

What do you think?

Hard drive issue

hard drive controllers come with drivers, not harddrives, harddrives are standart atapi/serial atapi,

but some chipsets, if too exotic or brand you, you might need drivers, just fish them out of intel, via, sis, nvidia, ULI, depending on chipset and model,

another issue is size, chipsets, file systems and operating systems sometimes wont recognize full size or the actuall harddrive. the famous inte 440BX wont recognize drives bigger then 37gb, you need SP1 for XP to handle partitions above 137gb, and so goes the list,

BTW: never use cable select, for some reason, it almost NEVER works.
