Windows 10: Hardware Causing Windows 10 to Freeze?

I am having random complete freezes happen on my pc where the computer is entirely frozen - no response to any input. The only way to fix it is to long-hold the power button to restart the PC.


I'm running Windows 10 Pro with the following hardware:


Intel i5-6500

Asus GTX 1060 6GB

Mushkin Triactor 3D 512 GB SSD

16 GB DDR4-2133 G.skill RAM

Gigabyte H270N-WIFI Mini-ITX Motherboard


I have a suspicion that it's the SSD. I can see the crash in the Windows Reliability History. What files would I need to provide (if any) to help figure out which piece of hardware is the culprit??

Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Then sadly, you do not understand the relationship between software, drivers, and hardware.

When you start a system, and the hardware will not fire up, you have a hardware problem, specifically with either the motherboard or your power supply.
