    I downloaded this game last week and it was working perfectly, however NOW, it keeps saying that dll files are missing when they are not, I have tried re-registering them, but it STILL refuses to work and the files refuse point blank to re-register - HELP

    Old PC Games on Windows 10 (Harry Potter 2 not running)

    Having the same problem, I followed your advice and went to GameCopyWorld, searched game.exe and found Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. It came up with this file, devnpcos.ace. I have no idea
    how to open this or what to do with it. Any further help please?

    Harry Potter EA games won't run on Windows 10

    I researched this because I own "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" and "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets" on CD-ROM. My laptop (Windows 10, 64-bit) refused to play them on any compatibility setting. It turns out the issue is that the old disc
    copyright protection/DRM that EA was using during that time period is not supported by Windows 10.

    One of the riskiest ways around this is to get a hacked no-cd.exe from back in the day of pirating and not wanting to manually change cd-rom discs. I have tried this (just installed the games and then exchanged the .exe files). The games will then work.
    The CD-ROM issue is all that prevents Windows from allowing the games to run.

    (Edit: So with the file I was using I could start the game and watch the opening segment about Harry. But it seemed to skip around a bit and then I couldn't start my objective. Hmm.)

    Cannot run old PC game (HP and the Chamber of Secrets) on windows 10 computer

    I have an old PC game Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets EA Games

    I have the CD for it and the white box code for it. I am able to install it and enter the code.

    But, when I get try and open it to start the game on my desktop, a box comes up asking if i want to allow this device to make changes to my PC, I press yes/allow but nothing happens.

    I have windows 10 (or the latest version but I believe i have windows 10) and its not pulling up the play screen at all.

    How can I play these games on my computer?
