    Personally, this is the second update from Microsoft for Windows 10 Pro 64bit KB5046613 OS Builds 19044.5131 and 19045.5131 this year 2024 that has broken network connections. Not just WIFI but Bluetooth and wired connections as well. This also happened in Jan/Feb2023 just a few months after that dreaded printer update the crushed my computer from Microsoft in Nov/Dec2022. The only fix I found was to roll back that update, blocked windows update in Services, and stop Windows update from automatically updating for a week in the update settings.My question is simp

    Problems with Network connections and Homegroup after November update

    No, disabling my antivirus on both computers did not help my wonky network! Just like it didn't help When I followed your suggestion to do that same thing a few days ago.

    I doubt that there is a physical problem with either of the network adapters either,

    • I downloaded some diagnostics from Realtek created especially for this network adapter chipset. I configured it to run through the 4 tests many many times. All tests were passed.
    • Both computers are only a couple months old
    • My network worked fine until the big "UPDATE" of Windows 10 in November.
    If you need any more information to diagnose the problem, let me know, but if we can't make any quicker progress on this, I will have to roll the system back to before the big November update.

    Windows 10 build 10586.3 is the major update released by Microsoft on November 12. All the users will automatically receive the update. However if you still haven't received the update it might be Windows update issue, I
    suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps:

    Method 1: Run Windows Update Troubleshooter

    I suggest you to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter. Follow these steps to run Windows Update
    troubleshooter:

    • Press Windows key + W and type
      troubleshooting.
    • Select Troubleshooting.
    • Select View all on the top left corner.
    • Click Windows Update troubleshooter.
    • Follow the on-screen instructions to run the troubleshooter.
    • Check if issue persists.
    Method 2

    I suggest you to check if the services responsible for Windows update is running. Refer to these steps:

    • Press Windows key +R, type “services.msc
    • Locate the BITS, Cryptographic, MSI Installer
      and the Windows Update Services and check if it is running.
    • If not, right click on the service and click start to start the service.

    Problems with Network connections and Homegroup after November update

    Hi again!

    I guess I spoke too soon. The network Was working properly yesterday. I shut down both machines last night, and when I turned them on this morning, one machine showed both computers under "network" while the 2nd machine didn't show any at all. I rebooted
    both machines again, and the first one still listed both computers, and the second listed only one of them. I rebooted again, and the 2nd machine again didn't show any computers under "Network".

    I have tried all of your suggestions, and it appears that I am back where I started. I must confess that I am more than a little frustrated! The big November "update" does not want to play ball with my hardware

    Do you have any other suggestions?
