Windows 10: Has anyone figured out how to make Windows Update stop reinstalling the "AMD RadeonTM"...

I've noticed other posts for this question that are more than 4 years old, and none seem to have an answer. My Windows Update keeps reinstalling a completely wrong graphics driver for my system, directly after I download the CORRECT ones from the AMD website itself each month or so when there's an update available. It completely glitches my AMD Radeon settings page, forcing me to completely re-install the AMD graphics drivers again, which only makes Windows Update try to REINSTALL THE COMPLETELY WRONG DRIVER again. As the "wushowhide.diagcab" does not work anymore it may work on yours, but it definitely doesn't work on mine so I don't wanna hear about, "...oh just download the wushowhide troubleshooter..." no, it DOESN'T work, the link for it on the Microsoft website rings up a 404 error, I need a way to make Windows Update STOP downloading and reinstalling a COMPLETELY WRONG DRIVER every time I update the correct one.

This is driving me crazy, and it's already a very short ride. Please help

Method 1: I suggest you to follow below steps and check.

Step 1: I suggest you to install all the latest pending Windows updates as below and check if it helps.

• Go to “settings” and click on “update and security”.
• Under tab “Windows update”, click on the icon “check for updates”.
• Then once you find the pending updates install it and check.

Step 2: I recommend you to download the Microsoft Safety Scanner from the following link and check if it helps.

• Look for AMD External Events in the list of available programs.
• Click Uninstall.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
