Windows 10: Have network drives connect automatically when WFH on Global Protect VPN

: Hey team. This is a bit of a tricky one. We are experiencing a issue where network drives arent connecting right away and is causing a issue with MYOB where it cannot find the drive, but once we click on the drive when it has a 'X' on it once, it works right away when we try the same process. This is frustrating

Dump due to Global Protect VPN

Hello, I am receiving dump everytime i open the Global protect VPN. Not sure what hasc caused the issue.

I am using Windows 11 and McAfee Anti virus is installed.

There are many solutions that Mcafee uninstallation resolved the issue. But i dont want to uninstall since it requires in my computer to avoid viruses.

Please suggest the resolution.

I am one step ahead of you. After reinstalling the client, I have enabled 'route all traffic' and the connection has held for over two hours.
In most cases VPN should automatically route all traffic. it’s possible that with wireless connections this is not happening by default and thus requires you to force it to route all traffic.


What you said about the change of DNS though might also be of interest to me. I have noticed that when the VPN is connected I cannot browse network shares however I can still connect if I create a manual path/shortcut. I thought this might have something to do with DNS and the VPN not making an exception for local traffic (like you see in IE proxy settings).

I am not an expert about Vpn and that's why I would like to know if someone could list me a few trusted Vpns, I would really appreciate any suggestion/ advice.
