Windows 10: Having near-daily bluescreens in 20H2

Since about December 21st, 2020, at least once every day or every other day, I have had a bluescreen error, and it seems to be different errors each time. triggered by activity in different programs. The most recent time, I was simply rotating a prim in Daz Studio back to 0 rotation and it bluescreened. The time before that, I was simply hanging out at a music event in Second Life.


I updated from 2004 to 20H2 during all this, but it seems to have only helped a little bit, maybe.


This is getting aggravating.

Have New 20H2 Start (NOW)

The 20H2 Start Menu can be 'released' from within 20H1.

You will, still, do 20H2 via WU in October, BUT can have the new 20H2 Start Menu, now by doing the following:

1. Open up Notepad.
2. Paste the following text:
   
   Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
   
   [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\FeatureManagement\Overrides\0\2093230218]
   
   "EnabledState"=dword:00000002
   
   "EnabledStateOptions"=dword:00000000
   
   
3. Save the file as 'Start Menu.reg'.
4. Run the file.
5. Reboot
   
   
   
   

now and, still, OS Build 19041.508

Near daily BSOD's for different reasons

The suggested fix involves doing something that, according to all notes I can find on the matter, say should not be done to a computer under use because it makes it unstable and is very resource heavy. The computer in question is my “Daily driver”. When
I'm in a position to make my primary computer unusable while I wait for something that only happens once every couple of days, I'll be sure to attempt the suggested fix. Until then I am exploring other options.
