  1. Having randons BSOD caused by ntoskrnl.exe

THIS THREAD WAS SOLVED BY CHANGING THE MOTHER BOARD.

Since I bought my PC, randons BSOD appear (most of them caused by ntoskrnl.exe and some caused by hal.dll)

    >WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR,
    >KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED,
    >DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION,
    >IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
    >DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE
    >SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION (NEW)
    >REGISTRY_ERROR (NEW)

    Computer also freezes and restart.

I have already updated the drivers and sent my PC to a technical and he verified all hardware, but couldn't find anything. Memory was tested using Memtest for 24 hours, nothing detected. HD also has been tested.

If more information is needed just request.
    Thanks.

    Corsair CX500

OBSERVATION: This topic was migrated from Windows 8 Forums because I updated my system to Windows 10 (the BSOD marked "NEW" started happening after the upgrade). Old topic: http://www.eightforums.com/bsod-cras...skrnl-exe.html

Windows 10 Blue Screening on me. DRIVER_CORRUPTED_EXPOOL

    Caused by Driver: ntoskrnl.exe

    Caused by Address: ntoskrnl.exe+146440

Above is from my dump file using BlueScreenView. Not sure what driver is causing the BSOD, how can I determine the driver?

Daemon tools, Alcohol 120% and Power Archiver Pro uses SCSI Pass Through Direct (SPTD), which is a well known cause for BSOD's.
Please remove Daemon Tools and run the SPD pass through remover.

    • Uninstall Daemon Tools
    • Download the SPTD standalone installer and follow these steps:
      • Double click the executable to open it
      • Click on the button shown below

If the button is grayed out, like in the image, there is no more SPTD installation on your system, and you can close the window

I took a quick look at 1 crash and it seems like your antivirus is causing trouble.
Please follow these instructions to remove Norton.

Ok, first of all, I updated my System Specs, unistalled Daemon Tools, and ran SPTD. I also unistalled Norton.
Sfc /scannow didn't detect anything. The command "chkdsk C:/f /r /x" says it will check when the computer restarts. It always stops on 11% for some reason.

    Prime95 test:
    Attachment 35765

    Memtest:

    Attachment 35764

I tested with executable version of SeaTools for windows, and no errors were found. I can test with DOS version later. Chkdsk command returned on no errors too.
I interrupted Furmark test, since my GPU temps hit 87º, and were just climbing more.

Looks like no hardware damage *Smile
If you don't get any new bluescreen, then the cause could be mainly Daemon tools.

Code: Advanced SystemCare 8 "C:\Program Files (x86)\IObit\Advanced SystemCare 8\ASCTray.exe" /Auto GABRIEL-PC\Gabriel[/quote] I'd also recommend uninstalling this application - its unreliable and has contributed to BSOD's before.

Thank you @Golden *Smile, I missed that one.

  12. I think the BSOD stopped, don't know if the freezing continues. I unistalled Advanced System Care.

This is very strange. You had W8.1, and then clean installed W10. The BSODs should have stopped if it was a software issue. Unless there were no BSODs on W10 until you installed Daemon Tools and Advanced System Care.

If you have a bluescreen within the next few days, please use the tool again and upload the zip file.
If not, please mark this thread as solved *Smile

  15. My screen froze, had to restart my computer. No minidumps. Should I use the tool again?
