  1. HDD drives are suddenly not initializing on reboot

Close to a month ago I logged onto my computer (win10 pro) and found that 2 of my HDD drives had vanished from file explorer. Of course I panic, open up disk management and they are both not initialized. I spent about a week recovering 4tb of lost data. Initialized the disk and thought I was good to go. Come to find out anytime I reboot the exact same thing happens. Disks go back to not initialized and all data is gone. If it was only happening to 1 of them I would think the hdd is just dead and replace it but the fact that it repeatedly happens to both of them is a red flag to me that it's a driver or win10 update has completely screwed me.. so at this point I have no idea what to do. Please help if anyone knows anything..

    HDD 'not initialized' suddenly

    Dear forum members,

    Code:
Yesterday suddenly applications accessing my D-drive were not responding. The OS did not report any error, just some applications were not responding. I thought it was an explorer.exe problem and decided to reboot and expected the
     problem to solve itself.
After the reboot the two drive letters from the partitions on one physical HDD were gone.
In Disk Management it says the disk is 'Not Initialized':[url='https://filestore.community.support.microsoft.com/api/images/27fe5535-739f-4720-b3b3-6718f83bf13b?upload=true']
    [ATTACH=full]122208[/ATTACH]
    [/url]
When I look at the Events tab in the properties dialog it says 'Device not migrated':[url='https://filestore.community.support.microsoft.com/api/images/3431bcf8-7642-40b2-83c8-b8142033c66a?upload=true']

Device SCSI\Disk&Ven_&Prod_\4&2e929f2f&0&010000 was not migrated due to partial or ambiguous match.

    Last Device Instance Id: USBSTOR\Disk&Ven_A-DATA&Prod_USB_Flash_Drive&Rev_0.00\e1d7a651b4f4a2&0

    Migration Rank: 0xF000FC00FFFFF130

    Present: false

    Status: 0xC0000719
I tried some recovery tools to get back my partitions and files, but nothing worked. Does anyone have an idea what happened and how to fix this? What does 'not migrated due to partial or ambiguous match' mean? Why does it say: 'Prod_USB_Flash_Drive' when
it is a Western Digital harddisk? Was some data on the drive damaged? Could it be caused by KB4100403 that was installed recently?
I am on Windows 10 Pro - 64, version 1803, build 17134.81. Maybe of importance: I have two identical HDDs in my computer. The other one is functioning normal.

Any help will be appreciated. There are a lot of files on that hard disk that I want to have back.

  3. URGENT HELP NEEDED! HDD suddenly became blank!

    Hey there, @Shamonto Hasan Easha!

I'd try re-plugging the hard drive and checking if the cable is damaged. I'd also suggest to try plugging the drive in another computer and see if it gets recognized properly there. Is it a IDE or SATA drive you're using?
If the drive is unallocated, this means that the partition has been lost after the power went down.
Check out this thread for more ideas on how to solve the issue. There are some detailed steps there that might be useful for you:

    Hope this helped.
