Windows 10: HDMI switch bleeds power

    HDMI switch bleeds power


    I am using a ToGeeKa 2:1 HDMI switch to switch output from Windows 10 and my Chromebook to my monitor. I also use another switcher for USB and sound outputs. The problem is that when I change from Windows to Chrome, turning off the desktop Windows computer, the computer gets a power back through the HDMI switch and the desktop power indicator light turns to amber. Even if I pull the power cord from the desktop there is still power bleeding back and I found it is coming in through the HDMI switch. Now I have to actually pull the HDMI jack from the switch when I am using the Chromebook. Is there a better way?

    Why exactly is ATi considered be better at HDMI?

    I plug my HDMI cable into the card, then into my TV. Those are the steps that I have to do. All the steps you list make absolutely no sense to me.

    Sound works fine only issue with me is underscan when connecting to my tv.

    Hi,

    Have you tried to reconfigure your audio settings? If not, try to change your audio output settings to HDMI by following the steps below:

    • Press Windows ( ) key + X.
    • Select Control Panel.
    • Click Hardware & Sound.
    • Click Manage Audio Devices.
    • Select the HDMI device listed under the Playback tab.
    • Click Set as default and click Ok.

    Also, we suggest to update your audio driver.

    Let us know how it goes.
