Windows 10: HDR emulated

Hello,


I have an issue with my new 4k monitor BenQ EW3280U, and after some troubleshooting I think that it's software related.


I have it connected with a displayport 1.4 cable and it works correctly out of the box.

The problem starts after I put my computer to sleep, once it wakes up, my monitor states that the hdr mode is now emulated instead of on, and the colors look washed out and terrible. I can take the hdr off and it works, but the only way to get hdr back is to do a full restart.


I have installed the latest manufacturer's drivers and the problem still persist.



Any ideas?

The display needs to be HDR capable as well.

Tried that, it just puts the monitor in emulation mode instead.

The setting is still greyed out in display settings even with it is at HDR mode

• What is the Windows 10 version and Build installed? (Type
  winver in Windows search/Run command)
  
• What is the make and model of the PC?
