  1. Headphone jack conflicts with bose??

I have a fairly new pc and we use a Bose Mini for sound (bluetooth.) Ever since we have started using the bose, my headphone jack on the FRONT (there isnt one on the back although windows THINKS there is) doesnt work.

When i plug the headphones is a notification pops up and says "You have plugged into an audio jack" However when i run the sound troubleshooter it says there is nothing plugged in.

    :)

  2. How to manually send audio or detect the audio jack.

Does your headphones have audio capability? Windows should start detecting that headphone automatically once you plugged it in unless you have some software conflict. try booting to clean boot and check if it will work in that state.

    Windows 10 rear jack usage

I just "upgraded" from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 and now my rear audio jack no longer recognizes my headphones.

When i plug the headphones into the rear jack the list of sound devices shows them as "not plugged in" because it thinks headphones can only be plugged into the front jack. When i plug headphones into the front they work as intended but this is not an option
    for me.

Is there any way of changing which jacks are allowed to be compatible with headphones?

Or to add the rear jack as an option under the headphones device that is already there?

    Headphone jack conflicts with bose??

Right, there is no marked "headphone" jack on the rear of your computer BUT it is the same as the Speaker jack, usually light green and usually the middle jack of three or maybe you have 2 rows of jacks. Not all motherboards use exactly the same layout but most use the light green jack for speakers/headphone. Plugging speakers or headphones into the front jack should cut out any speakers plugged into the rear jack.

Did you have to install software for the Bose? That may be taking control of things.

  5. I dont remember installing software for the Bose. It's possible. But it is just used through Bluetooth.

  6. I solved this myself. Turns out the headphone jack was not assigned to "headphones". So i had to go into the reltek settings and assign it. All is working great now!
