Windows 10: Headphone jack not working

<p>Hi,</p><p></p><p>My laptop has been weird lately (dell Inspiron 7373) and the headphone jack decided to stop working. I normally have my apple ear buds plugged into my laptop and work perfectly. Suddenly, it stopped working. When I plug in my earbuds, there was no sound coming out of my earbuds but sounds are coming out of my laptop instead like it was not detecting it. I have to restart my laptop with my earbuds connected to make it work ,but when I unplug it and plug it back in. No sound from my earbuds but speakers. I have troubleshoot, reinstalled drivers, tried to find the realtek audio manager ( did not open for some reason). Basically, I ran out of ideas what to do now.&nbsp;</p>

Issues with headphones or headphone jack could have happened due to hardware issues. To isolate your concern, we suggest that you update your driver. You can follow this

If the issue still occurs, we suggest that you contact your manufacturer to check and troubleshoot your hardware issue with headphone jack.

I did Step 1 and restarted my PC after the update and the headphone jack still won't work.

I tried to do Step 2 but when I reach the Playback tab it only shows an icon for speakers. There is no icon for headphones at all to select as default.
