  1. Headphones aren't working, or being recognized.

I have tried to disable realtek, I have installed a windows update, I have gone to control panel and device manager to switch and update drivers, I have tested my headphones with other devices, I have left my headphones unplugged for 24 hours and I have turned my computer on and off again more times than I can count.

How can I get my headphones to work again? I am nearly at the end of my line with trying to fix it. Honestly I can't think of annmore solutions and this is the most annoyed I have been with Windows 10 in ages. I'm running on a lenovo laptop, I don't know the specific one really, but I hope it helps.

    :)

  2. Headphones recognized as Speakers...

    Hi Ahri,

Having your headphones recognized as speaker when plugged in at the back of your PC could be the reason why the audio is low. To help us isolate the problem, we suggest running first the audio troubleshooter from the link Fix
    sound problems
    .

In case the issue persists, then let's remap or retask your Realtek audio jack and see if it addresses the issue. To do that, follow the steps below:

    • Open the Realtek HD Audio Manager.
    • In the back panel, right click the option where your headphone is connected.
    • Choose the option Connector Retasking, then select Headphone.

Feel free to update us with the result so we can further assist you.

    Regards.
