Windows 10: headset microphone

I have a HyperX Cloud Revolver and i recently got a new mic from amazon for it since i lost my last one... i have a laptop... Acer Predator Helios 300... ive looked in recording devices even checked disabled... not there... i went into device manager... tried disable and reenable every relavent thing... also uninstall every relavent driver and restart pc... my headset mic is still not showing up... only my laptop's internal mic.... how do i fix? i really dont wanna return my mic... it took a month to get in and im afraid i wont get my $35 bk after i send it bk

In order to help you resolve issues with the microphone on headset, we suggest the you run the built in troubleshooter in you PC. Here are the steps:

• In the Search Box, type Troubleshoot and press
  Enter.
• Look for and select Recording Audio, and press Run the troubleshooter.
• Follow the onscreen instructions.

Good surround sound headset

I know you say you're not that guy, but stepping into the $250+ range really brings a change in build quality that might have you never having to buy another set. Otherwise, getting 6 speakers with decent sound in a headset is hard, and that's what you are asking for, and I have no suggestions, but just a bump up the list. *Stick Out Tongue
