  1. Hearing "Windows Shutdown.wav" on occasion even though I'm using the No Sounds scheme?

I'm occasionally hearing this sound during regular use, and not sure what is triggering it, or why I'm hearing it to begin with, as I have all windows sounds disabled.

    Any assistance would be appreciated.

  3. Windows 10 custom Sound Schemes not working

The hard part was gaining true ownership of my files. I did do pretty much what you suggest. Renamed existing files to fit the sound scheme, and deleted the original windows .wav files. It works, but I still lack control of the sounds from that old

  4. Hearing "Windows Shutdown.wav" on occasion even though I'm using the No Sounds scheme?

Adding 3rd party sound in sound scheme

What file type are they? Generally the Sound Schemes can only use WAV files. If it is a WAV file and not making any sound when you test it - do the other sounds work? It's possible this mystery WAV file contains a code not found on your system. Does
it play by itself in Windows Media Player?
