Best free PDF software?

I use:

• UnityPDF to merge/split PDFs and to insert/extract pages

• doPDF to create PDFs from any program that is capable of printing

• Foxit Reader to view PDFs and to type in them

 

Searching in PDF?

Hey guys, I need to look up a large list of data from a PDF file, basically just to check if each entry of the list is in the pdf. Is there some way to do this without having to check one by one?

 

Best free PDF software?

Need a PDF program that can do the following:

-Convert to/from PDF to/from Word and Excel
-Read and edit PDF files (be able to modify the text especially, and match the document's original font automatically if possible).
-Merge and/or split multiple pages into PDF files.
-Has to be installed locally as software, cannot be online or a cloud service.
-Needs to be free

Is there any tool out there that can do all (or most) of these things, for free?
