Windows 10: Hello I hope to find a solution for this problem.

My brother's laptop is broken and I am trying to fix it.

HP TouchSmart TM2-2050US


There are NO CD / DVD drives in this laptop / netbook / notebook, whatever it is called. It has USB, HDMI, etc., but it has no disk drive.

The computer will not be restored because there are no restore points, he says. It will not repair either. I can access the start menu by pressing the ESC key. From there, I'm not sure where to go or what to do. I was previously able to access the System Recovery screen system recovery, system repair, command prompt, etc. but now I have trouble even getting to that.

Any help is appreciated.

That made me so facepalm. Some people have absolutely no clue. I hope they don't take you for granted with all this you're doing for them.

SonicWall is a good security product, so Mindweaver's suggestion sounds like a good one and should make for a rather bigger baby step. Let's hope they take it.

 

Windows 10 1709 System Restore problems...


That seems to be an attempt at Option 2 in the tutorial, which requires you to
a. Boot to a command prompt (Did you?)
b. You then seem to be mixing steps 3,4 and 5, thus your command is incorrect.

I suggest Option 1 is easier.

If you still have problems, please repost listing each specific step and saying which option from the tutorial you are using. Thanks.

 

Problem with Sapphire GTO2...

i have read of this problem and the solutions suggested for this were to turn the VSYNC option to ON in video/graphics settings for the game ! hope that helps !
