Hello I'm Running a Gigabyte B450 Auros Motherboard and a Nvidia Geforce GTX 1050 4GB
and I am wanting to upgrade first of all is the Graphics card in the picture compatible?? if not what are my options???
I was hoping to get a 6GB card. my budget is only around $150-$250. can someone throw me some plug and play options please??

Gigabyte B450 Aorus WiFi, frequent BSODs & tab crashes

I have a custom-built PC with Gigabyte motherboard that gives a BSOD, typically once each day I'm using it. In addition, browser tabs (but not the browser) crash constantly with no visible lag or decrease in performance. Other times the browser will occasionally
turn white and be unresponsive for about 10 seconds, then return to use like nothing ever happened. BSODs will also occur when playing some lighter GPU games, but not others.

New hardware: I installed Windows 10 Pro on an M.2 drive, CHKDSK and a scan for broken sectors revealed nothing. Is there another troubleshooter I should know about?

Things I've tried:

1) Running CHKDSK, (with and without the /r switch, no errors were found)

2) Running "Windows Memory Diagnostic" (it passed)

3) Installing all Windows Updates

4) Updating my board to the latest version at this time (v. F50, see below)

5) Checking to make sure the memory is in the right slots.

6) Switching the slots for my M.2, PCI Express Drive on my motherboard (this is where Windows is installed.)

If there are any troubleshooting tools I've missed please let me know.

CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED

SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION

DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

I'm really stumped solving this issue and I would greatly appreciate any help.

M.2 Drive: 1TB SSD 3D NAND M.2 2280 PCIe NVMe 3.0 x4

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600, 6-Core

GPU: Radeon RX580

Memory: DDR4 2x8GB G.SKILL F4-2400C17D-16GIS

MSI Shows Off B450 Tomahawk and B450-A Pro Motherboards

MSI showed off two of its latest socket AM4 motherboards based on AMD's upcoming B450 chipset, the B450 Tomahawk and B450-A Pro. The Tomahawk is slotted in MSI's minimalist yet gamer-grade Arsenal Gaming series, and has a clean look, with a feature-set that doesn't exceed that of the chipset by much. Slick new VRM and chipset heatsink designs which debuted with Intel 300-series Tomahawk boards, make their appearance here. There's just one M.2-22110 slot. The B450-A Pro is part of MSI's mainline motherboard lineup, and targeted at system-integrators, with a similar feature-set to the Tomahawk, though slightly built to a cost.

 

Motherboard (Gigabyte B450) cannot retain BIOS settings

I am using Gigabyte B450 Aorus Pro Wifi motherbard, AMD Ryzen 7 2600x, Corsair DDR4 2x8GB 3200Mhz RAM (CMK16GX4M2B3200C16). My OS is Windows 10 64-bit.

I have this weird problem with my desktop PC. Sometimes, PC fails to boot up because I cannot see the bios boot-up screen. To fix this problem, I have to pull out the power plug, wait for a pop sound, then put back the power plug. Now, I can see the bios boot-up screen on boot-up. The problem is this action of pulling out and plugging back the power plug sometimes causes the BIOS settings to be reset to default. This happens sometimes only when I was using bios firmware version F2. Yesterday, I upgraded bios firmware to F5. Now, the action of pulling out and plugging back the power plug ALWAYS causes the BIOS settings to be reset to default.

This is a problem because I need to change BIOS settings to use 3200Mhz RAM clock and run Ubuntu virtual machines on Virtualbox.

I bought the motherboard a few weeks ago. It is unlikely the battery can run out so soon.
