Hi my computer has been hacked for a few months and since I have been hacked I came back from my holiday and got onto my computer it says it needs updating by windows so yeah I updated windows my computer and it said couldn’t complete updates undoing changes which always happens and it doesn’t do anything bad and after it said undoing changes it took me to windows startup screen like where you swipe and enter your password so yeah I swiped my mouse and entered my password but it said “password is incorrect try again” so I knew why it said that because my friend changed my password I knew I hav

Sign In locked out - Picture with gesture screen

Hello - This may sound like an attempt to hack a computer but I need some suggestions. My sisters husband passed away and his computer was protected by a sign in picture requiring gestures to open and of course she does not know the gestures. Main goal is to retrieve old pictures/files. So I am looking for a safe way for her to access data on that computer. Any suggestions are appreciated!

 

Email Hacked

thank you for your response and the great information you provided.

I use two step authentication for my email account and all important web sites. I also use the full version of Malwarebytes to protect my computer.

But I will do the scans you suggested AdwCleaner and Limewire.com and let you know the results.

I am worried though that the webcam installed on my laptop could have been hacked. I never use it and forgot about it, so never disabled it.

Any suggestions as to find if it was actually hacked?
