    My Zenbook weirdly drains battery down to zero overnight down from 60% while in sleep mode. This problem has persisted for a while.

    The notebook should enter hibernation at 5% battery (which it does while being used). But, when sleeping it drains the entire battery until 0% and I do not know where this is coming from. Below the relevant entry for batteryreport, which went to sleep at 23:59:49 on 2021-01-20. This sleep is given as a single entry, and denotes "standby". Can you help me finding the problem? Thank you very much.

    PS: The battery is fine and lasting 12 hours when full charged. If there is something that keeps waking my PC up, then I would like to override all this, as MacOSX would do. There I never had this problem. I have also noticed that the battery indicator does not coincide with the powercfg -batteryreport. Maybe the issue lies here.

  3. Display will not sleep.

    Hi,

    Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community. I understand the inconvenience caused to you and will help you solve the issue.

    I suggest you to follow the steps provided below and check if it helps.

    • Click on Start>Settings>System.
    • In the left navigation pane, click on Power & sleep.
    • In the right pane, select the time limit for the system to go to sleep from the drop down list.

    I think that the issue is caused by the "Generic HDD SCSI Disk Device" driver

    you have 8 disk drive attached to your computer:
    1. Samsung SSD 860 EVO 500GB
    2. Samsung SSD 850 EVO 250GB
    3. ST4000DM004-2CV104
    4. TOSHIBA DT01ACA200
    5. WDC WD20EARX-008FB0
    6. Generic HDD SCSI Disk Device
    7. Seagate BUP BK SCSI Disk Device
    8. Kingston DT Elite G2 USB Device

    I would suggest you uninstall the Generic driver from the device manager;
    • Open device manager and display the hidden devices;
    • Generic "HDD SCSI Disk Device" under disk driver and uninstall it.
