Windows 10: HELP!!! Disc cleanup stopped working.

so far, I've searched this site and it appears many others have had this issue and have received NO solution to their issue. NO response to their question. I have Win 10 and otherwise, everything is in good working order.


Help would be greatly appreciated as in how to RESOLVE this issue.

Hi Edward,

You should run Disk Cleanup Twice as explained below to safely remove anything that can be removed and check everything in the list, it is quite safe to do that, disk Cleanup will not suggest anything that is not safe to remove . . .

Open File Explorer

Click on your hard drive

On the Manage Tab, click Cleanup

Let Disk Cleanup do its initial scan

Select Everything in the list and choose Delete

Start Disk Cleanup again

Let Disk Cleanup do its initial scan

This time in the resulting dialog, click 'Cleanup System Files'

Let Disk Cleanup run another scan

Select Everything in the list and choose Delete

 

Where is "Disc Cleanup" in WX?

Where is "Disc Cleanup" in WX? Cant seem to find "C" drive, just a list of folders.

I have windows 10. On disc cleanup site is it ok to check--delivery optimization file--? I have 96.5 mb in there. Also disc cleanup

window doesn't clean up all --temp files--leaves 6.40 mb & thumbnails 2mb. Thank you for any help.!!!!!!!
