Windows 10: help getting window 10 and installing it without losing my programs ........

I have windows 7 64 bit. I know, it is no longer going to be supported after January 2020, which will come fast enough.


I almost shutter at asking this question online, here, given the chances of the scammers but I really am getting frantic even this early.


I need to get a version of windows 10 and I am so utterly petrified that it is so different. I read that one can make it look like windows 7. Is there online help that can help me download it and do that? Make it look and work like 7, or as close to?


Also, when one upgrades to windowd 10, PLEASE tell me this can be done WITHOUT losing any of our programs, all the files, all the photos, all the software that I use and even the software I don't use. I appreciate any help, any links to where I migh find the numbers.

I have a hard time with changes like thsi.

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

 

Windows 10 installing progs

I decided to take the plunge and upgrade to windows 10 from 7. I used the Media Creation Tool from MS website. It took awhile, but I am finally running Windows 10 (12-14).

I opened the new App & Program feature to remove programs that I no longer needed. Scrolling down the list, I was horrified! Apps that I didn't install somehow magically installed themselves. Two programs stood out: Facebook and Candy Crush Soda Saga. Both programs have those tale-tale icons that they came from Windows Store (which I've never even opened). The install date for both of them were on 12-26.

Is this a common thing for Windows 10? Or is it because I did an upgrade and not a clean install?

 

Why did the startup window get cleared?

I didn't missed any step, the list was gone and gone , even after using lot of programs the programs were not listed in that list.
