Windows 10: Help! I want my Lifecam vx-6000 to work on the latest Windows!

I recently bought a Lifecam vx-6000 from a local thrift store, and as expected, Windows 10 automatically installed drivers. However, in device settings, the webcam is listed under "Audio", and the subtext says "Driver is unavailable". I tried doing solutions online, but none of them have seemed to work. Can someone please help? I don't want my purchase to be a waste.

Lifecam VX-6000 No Longer Works in Windows 10

Tried all three suggested troubleshooting steps. Installation still identifies that the program for installing Microsoft Lifecam VX-6000 drivers is incompatible with the version of Windows selected.

I suggest you to reinstall the Microsoft Lifecam VX-6000 software in compatibility mode and check if it helps.

Compatibility mode runs the program using settings from a previous version of Windows.

Follow the below steps:

• Right click on the setup file of the driver and select “Properties”.
• Select “Compatibility” tab.
• Place a check mark next to “Run this program in Compatibility mode” and select
  previous the version of Windows (Windows 8) from the drop down list.
