Windows 10: Help my laptop hacked

I was living in a dormitory with two room mate, so i let them use my laptop and long story short they're no good person, i used a portable wifi modem to connect my laptop to the internet, at first i thought they just simply know my SSID and it's password, so then i switched to LAN and turned off WLAN but they still manage to steal my connection so i think they put in some kind of malware to my laptop so they could steal my internet connection, and again long story short i've got my own room for myself and i upgraded my laptop with SSD and clean install the windows but thing is my new room is just the room next door to them, and i got a new portable modem too but surprisingly they still manage to steal my internet connection, how is that possible ?

do they write down my mac address and any other adresses in my laptop to connect? because antivirus scan didn't find anything at all, i googled it a lot but didn't find any solution but i read about windows 10 hotspot, maybe they connect to my laptop through it, so i checked the hotspot settings and it looked untouched/unconfigured, so what is it then? the last thing i did is, i disabled the wifi adapter and it worked, they can no longer connect to my laptop for about a week now, but i still feels uneasy because this is not a permanent fix, sooner or later im gonna need to use the wifi again or those two bad guys would just keep on trying until eventually they manage to do it again, i dont know where else to seek for help so i hope someone here could help me, i know i could just confront them but i rather not to make unnecessary conflict.

Laptop Hacked - Password Changed

That would appear to be just a simple typo. Look at the bottom of Regedit in the screenshot at step 8 where it too clearly shows \Account\ with no 'S'. @Brink should be able to confirm that. I've just followed the instructions on another PC and it too had Account in the singular.

Very sensible to leave things alone and seek further help. I don't know what the value 15 means, or if its safe to change it. On the machine I just modified it was 11 as expected. Hopefully someone who knows more than me will be along shortly.
