Windows 10: Help unlinking windows from an unknown Microsoft account

Hello!A couple years ago, my girlfriend bought a new notebook from Amazon that was supposed to come with windows 10. Turned out the OS was linked to a Microsoft account that wasn't her's. Wasn't a problem then, as it still worked.Now I bought her a SSD for Christmas computer is very slow, but I don't think I'll be able to activate windows if it's still linked to that account. Is there a way to unlink them while not having the password to this other account, so that I can link the key to her account?Thanks!

Unlink an old android phone from my pc

I go thru the suggested steps: Start - Settings - Phone - Unlink this PC.

When I first open the "your phone" screen the old phone is listed. Not sure if the phone listed is suppose to be selectable or not, but my is not. When I select "Unlink this PC" the phone listed is removed. When I select "Add Phone" the old phone still
shows. I have removed the old phone from my Microsoft Account. I have rebooted after unlink this pc but I still cannot remove my old phone.

Microsoft account and local account are two different things.

I would suggest you to create another local account and check.

• Press windows key + X key and select Control panel.
• In Control panel select User Account.
• In user Account Click on Manage another account.
• Click on Add a new user in PC settings.
• Click Add someone else to this PC.
• Click on The person I want add doesn't have an email address.
