    [Help] Updated to Ver 2004: Colors are washed out/bland


    After updating I noticed the colors of my screen changed, it turned to something bland/dead. Also my desktop background changed to solid black color. I was using custom image before the update. I also got logged out from nVidia GeForce. I searched that this happened to older versions of Windows and but I can’t find a solution.

    I need help to fix this thanks.

    I wonder why nobody has suggested the OP to make a screenshot of display showing these "washed out colors"? Everything I have read in this thread suggests that the issue is not in Windows, but instead in display / monitor.

    My suggestion: next time you'll see these washed out colors, make a screenshot and post it here. If the screenshot shows us that colors are OK, then the issue is your monitor failing.

    Windows 10 washed out colors

    I have washed out colors.

    I have tried calibrating colors. I booted into safe mode and it's still washed out. I have reinstalled nvidia drivers.

    Fully up to date Windows 10

    i76700K

    980ti (drivers are updated)

    1TB NVME SSD

    32 GB RAM
