Windows 10: HELP Windows 10 Slow Can't Even Watch Youtube

Hey there thanks for the reply! I've been getting more and more frustrated lately with this problem and so I ended up reverting back to Windows 8.1 thinking it would solve the problem. After a clean install yesterday nothing seems to have changed. It isn't just Chrome that lags it's any browser, I noticed that after I restart my computer if I try to download anything via apps like bitcomet the problem accelerates and immediately the videos on youtube begin to lag. There seems to be a direct correlation that I can't find no matter what solution I find on the internet. I've done every scan I can without any errors and yet it seems like anything I do on my computer uses a staggering amount of disk usage. I tried the solution you suggested with no results, also Nexus Mod Manager is just a tool to manage mods for games, it hasn't even been installed after the clean install and I still have these problems. I saw one suggestion for rolling back my nvidia drivers so I'm going to try that but I doubt it will make a difference. I'm really starting to get depressed about this, the pc isn't even a year old yet.

Sure I guess, although like I've stated the problem still persists regardless of my OS. Clearly that isn't the issue then and I don't see a difference in posting in the 10 or 8 sections for help.

 

Look in the Tutorials in 8 Forum as it is a bit different to the 10 forum one
Also have you updated Adobe Flash as that could be causing it
Also when you went back did you make sure your drivers are up to date

 

Updated Flash, been looking in windows 8 sections online since I switched and the problem is the same regardless of the OS. By the same I mean even options like disabling superfetch for example are solutions that are suggested and don'tm work. Right now I'm looking at what driver I'm using for my network adapter as I've realized my computer only slows down when downloading/connecting to the internet. Unfortunately however I cannot seem to find any drivers that need updating in the device manager. I'm searching for a new network adapter for Windows 8 now though.

 

If you right click start button
Then Device Manager
Then Network Adapter
Click > it will open up and tell you the name of you adapter
Mine begins with Q
Click on that and see if it is up to date or working Properly

 

Intel(R) Ethernet Connection (2) 1218-V is what it says but I had to install the driver after reverting back to Windows 8. For some reason I did not have a network driver and windows could not find one. I ended up going to intels website to get it. Windows doesn't find any error with the network adapter and It's up to date apparently.

 

if when you upgrade to 10 again use the Edge Browser
It is fast for you tube
Does not stutter or run slow for me on any of my systems

Thanks for the reply, but it's not the browser causing the problem. Every browser I try has the same problem so it's something else entirely.

Try that utility and see if your hard disk is damaged causing the slowdowns.

 

I'm not sure if this helps show my problem or what I can do with this info, it says health is good?

 

Well, now at least you can discard the hard disk as a cause of the slowness.

 

What do you mean? The hard drive is what's causing this?
