    HELP! Windows 10 suddenly updating Office 2007 which I don't have


    Help me guys, Windows 10 just randomly started downloading like 30+ updates for Office 2016 which I have and it's even installing Office 2007 and 10 updates for it.

    What is even going on?
    I don't want to end up with crap on my PC.

    Windows 10 Pro Build 10568 Clean Install.

    Windows 10 1703 - Latest Cumulative - Installing Office 2007 kills Windows Update

    Lost an hour or two figuring this out. Looks like if you install Office 2007 on Windows 10 1703, with the latest cumulative update, Windows Update starts erroring out. Uninstall Office 2007, and you suddenly have a working Windows Update.

    Wanted to report this as a bug, but this is the best I could find.

    I am using Office 2007 on a Windows 10 laptop. Everything was OK until this morning. not sure why it has suddenly changed. Perhaps there was a recent Windows 10 update that casued this.

    HELP! Windows 10 suddenly updating Office 2007 which I don't have

    Which version of Office 2016 do you have installed, 32-bit or 64-bit? Office 2010 was the first version available as either type and if you have the 64-bit you shouldn't be offered updates for Office 2007 as it was only 32-bit, incompatible.
