    [HELP] Windows Start Menu Transparency Problem


    Hello, I have a problem with my Windows start menu transparency.

    My taskbar is very transparent and I like it, but the start menu won't get transparent even a little no matter what I try. Why? I got the latest version of Windows 10 which is 2004 and I just can't fix it. Is it supposed to be like that or what? How can I get it to be transparent as my taskbar, is it even possible?

    Start Menu Transparent When Set to Transparency Off

    Set start menu to be not transparent. It is still transparent. Set it to be transparent, then set it back to not transparent in hopes that would work. It didn't. Any help?

    I have the exact issue. And YES, I have ensured that 'transparency effects' is ON in Colors settings menu.

    The task bar looks fine, its just the start menu that is no longer transparent.

    Start menu is not working on Windows 10

    Hi,

    Iunderstand the frustration if things are not working fine as expected.

    Please help us with below details,


            • When you say "If I sign in under my user name I am in some earlier version", which version you are referring to?

            • Did you made any recent changes to your computer prior to the issue?

            • When you say “I cannot access the start menu and am limited to IP as a browser” Is it refers to Microsoft Edge?

    As an initial steps, I suggest you to check for the Windows version. To do so, follow the below steps:

    1) Login to your computer through user name on which it show earlier version of Windows.

    2) Press Windows key + r.

    3) Type winver, hit enter.

    For the issue related to start menu, I suggest you to refer to the below Microsoft help article and check,
