Windows 10: Help with downgrading back to 1909

    Help with downgrading back to 1909


    A majority of my games have been stuttering and I believe that 2004 is the cause. I reset my pc about 2 weeks ago hoping that a fresh install of 2004 would fix my problems but nothing changed. If I were to get EaseUS or something and backup my C Drive would it be possible to just move some folders back on the 1909 install so I can keep my programs and other data (Program Files/Program Files x86/Program Data and AppData) without having to reinstall anything other than drivers and stuff? Also if it does work would it save logins for YouTube, Reddit, Discord, Steam, etc...

    Windows 10 1909 Causes Secondary Hard Drive to not be Recognized

    Installing the Windows 10 1909 Update causes my secondary hard drive to not be recognized.

    Steps to confirm issue:

    • Secondary drive not visible in Windows Explorer
    • Secondary drive not visible in device manager
    • Secondary drive not visible in disk manager

    Steps to replicate issue:

    • Installing 1909 update

    Steps to resolve issue:

    • Uninstall 1909 update

    Since updates can only be delayed for so long, an actual fix would be appreciated.

    Hello there, tom.
    I would try these:
    • Get your Windows 7 media device and reinstall Windows
    • Try auto-repair
    • Follow these steps:

    1. Put in your Windows 10 media device, boot into the USB
    2. Select your language and keyboard input, then click next.
    3. Click "Repair this computer"
    4. Go to "Advanced options"
    5. click system restore
    6. Select a restore point before you downgraded to Windows 7.
