    help with mobile hot spot setup on laptop


    I am having issues with my laptop connecting to the internet via my new phone (Xperial L1).

    The laptop is a Lenovo Z710 running window 10 pro version 1803 build 17134.286 I7 with 16Gbram


    Previously I had an HTC and that worked fine, it is/was old running android 4.0.3. However I have replaced this with the xperia on a new network and now I can't connect to the internet. The laptop reports that there is no internet, but is connected to the phone. The phone reports that there is one live connection naming the laptop.

    I have contacted the phone network provider and all is well there end, mobile data is functioning on the phone.

    We have an old laptop running windows 8.1 and that can connect to the internet via the phone hot spot.


    I have put the new sim into the old HTC, but get the same result, no internet.


    I have tried to connect my laptop to a different phone on a different network with a known good connection. Same result no internet connection.


    Can anyone help?

    mobile hot spot issue

    Mobile hot spot is disabled on my laptop and I do have have internet connection, im trying to connect my device wi-fi using hot spot on my laptop

    mobile hot spot isn't working

    mobile hot spot can create network but its limited and doesn't work for other device that are connected to it.
