Windows 10: Help with networking new Win10 and old Win7

We've had a wired home network for many years for our 3 Win7 computers and it worked pretty well. About 2 years ago my wife got a new Win10 and a tech guy wired that into out network just fine with my remaining 2 Win7's. About a year ago we lost partial connectivity where the Win10 could only see one of my Win7's. Now I have replaced one of my Win7's with a new Win10 home giving us 2 ea Win10 and 1 ea Win7. The new tech guys is having problems fixing the networking because he says he needs the passwords of the computers and the thing is we never used passwords on the Win7's and on my wife's Win10 she only uses a 4 digit pin. What's the best option to get my network back to working order?

I appreciate all the suggestions.

Basically I get the error message:

Windows cannot access \\(computer name)....

The only exception is that my wife's Win10 can see my old Win7.
But since the tech couldn't set up my new Win10 without passwords it's not on the network.

I would love to try turning password protected sharing off but it looks like you need the computer passwords to do that and all we have are the computer pins on the Win10.
