Windows 10: Help with OneDrive

I enabled OneDrive sync on my pc but it is causing me more problems than it is helping me. I hate seeing those checkmarks on my desktop so I decided turning off desktop sync first. When I turned it off all shortcuts and folders just disapeared. I found them in a different location. Is there a way to turn sync on whole pc off without having to copy paste everything back where it belongs. I have a lot of data in my documents and pictures folder.

Windows 10 - OneDrive

Right click on the app and one of the properties has an option to not automatically start it. Uncheck, restart the computer, and it should stop. If you want to go another step further, find the OneDrive app in the start menu, right click on it and uninstall.

If that is still insufficient, there is a batch uninstaller for OneDrive available online. I can copy the code here if you need it.
