Windows 10: Help with the keyboard input

Dear TenForums members,

I have had this problem since I thought I had solved the chinese input. But, it turned out to be available for a few hours and then the IME is unavailable until next sign in.

In brief, to get the chinese input back, it need to sign out and sign in back and it will going to happen again continually.

Please tell me how to fix this.

Steps that don't worked for me:
- Alt + Shift
- Win + Space
- Setting the Chinese language as default language (worked for a while)

Can't change the input language on lockscreen Windows 10

A friend also has this problem:

Keyboard input language switched to English (Canada), and French (Canada) after an update but she used a login password in Russian with Russian keyboard input language for standard US keyboard.

Russian keyboard input language option disappeared after an update with only French and English for Canada left.

Now she can not use her laptop =( I just need to add/change Russian keyboard input language so she can login with her Russian password on standard US keyboards!

Any help? Thank you!

- Do you get any error message?

Ensure that you have set right keyboard input language(Layout) on your computer and check if that helps you.

I would suggest you to press Windows and Space bar keys
together, you will be able to change the keyboard input language(Layout). This might help you in fixing the issue. You can also click on keyboard input language(Layout)(Right bottom Corner) of the lock screen to change the
keyboard input language(Layout).

Hi, I think you may be able to resolve this by going to the control panel here:




and setting your desired input method as 'override' rather than 'Use Language list'

 

Unfortunately, this didn't solve my issue.

 

Create a new user for test purposes.

If what you want to do works in that, your original profile is corrupt.

If you have the same problem, Windows or some other setting needs fixing.
