Windows 10: Help!

Hello,


For the past couple months or so my computer (2003 Dell Optiplex 740) has been infected with an autorun virus. I did not know my computer was infected, until last month it suddenly blue screened and died. Upon rebooting my computer, I was met with stop errors and messages, things like "re-install system 32", stuff like that. I tried re-installing a fresh copy of Windows 7 with the disk I have, but that would not work. I would either have gotten to "Expanding Windows files...25%", and then stop and say "Windows cannot install required files", (even though this is the first time in a while that I put the CD into my PC), or it would fully expand files, reach installing updates, and suddenly say that Windows could not offline locale information. I am fully connected to the Internet, via a local broadband wire. I have tried many different ways to try to kick this bug and re-install my OS, but nothing worked. I tried using my spare Windows XP disk to format the drive, and then switch to my Windows 7 disk to try to clean install (the Windows 7 disk only installs once, then disk options are all greyed out). I have tried deleting the drive before installing Windows 7, and that did not work. I tried moving the 2 ram sticks from their black ports to their white ports and then installing, and that didn't work. I even tried manually removing the virus (that I think is causing all of this), manually using the Windows 7 disk's Command Prompt by using the attrib -r -a -s -h *.* method, but this also did not work. Finally, after days of headaches and failed re-installs, I decided to ask a community I think is experienced in solving these problems.


If anyone has any solutions at all, that would be great!

Edge Search Does Not Permit Change of Region

Thank you for posting the query on Microsoft Community. I am glad to assist you on this.
We have reproduce the issue here and we are able to access non-regional search for google using Microsoft Edge.
I would suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps.
Step 1:
Clear browsing data option of Microsoft Edge and check if you face the issue. To do so perform the steps below.

1. Click on the More actions icon next to the feedback icon present on top right corner of the Project Spartan homepage.
2. Select Settings and click on Choose what to clear.
3. Check the boxes Browsing history, Cookies and saved website data and Cached data and files and click on Clear.

Step 2:
I suggest you to create a new user account and check if the issue occurs.

1. Go to Settings.
2. Choose Accounts and then select Family and other users.
3. Select add someone else on this PC.
4. Enter a user name and hit next.
5. Click on Finish.
6. Sign out from the current Account and Log into the new account.

Step 3:
It could also happen because of network issue. I suggest you to try with different network connection and check if it helps.
