    Hi all out there,

    my name is Volker, located in GER, running a free consultancy as civil engineer.

    Becaue of my business I am stuck to WIN 10 1909 built as there are only little
    structural progs to work on other systems.

    Started with DOS and afterwards the first WIN versions up to now.

    Interested in specific topics - most of all OFFICE but sometimes also
    a bit of coding (not too much as this most likely takes more time
    than it redeems for me) etc.

    Came to TEN Forums because I searched about the long path problem
    and found jimbo56's post from 2017.

    As much as I can see right now nothing has changed since then?!

    Will be interested to read here about the various other topics.

    Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

    If that setting is already enabled, then I suggest as the next troubleshooting step might be Mozilla Safe Mode (not to be confused with Windows Safe Mode)):

    • Please report back and let us know the outcome, as it will dictate the next steps.
    • Also: please tell us what AV/AM/firewall programs are you running on this system?
