Windows 10: Hi! I need help. I can't start Task Scheduler and Disk Defragmenter. If someone can fix it...

I wanted to start Disk Defragmenter but a pop up come and says: "Storage optimisation cannot start because the task scheduler is not running. Start the task scheduler and try again". I opened Services and I started the Task scheduler but says: Task scheduler started and then stopped. Thx

Problems with Task Scheduler in Windows 10

We apologize for the inconvenience. We meant uninstalling and reinstalling the Apple, Office, and OfficeSoftwareProtectionPlatform not uninstalling the task scheduler.

We would like to inform you that the error could be caused if the Disk Defragmenter schedule is turned off or if the schedules are broken and corrupt. Please follow the below steps to enable the Disk Defragmenter schedule.

1.Press Windows key + R key.

2. Type dfrgui.

3. In the optimize drives windows, select change settings under the scheduled optimization.

4. There you can choose the frequency of disk defragmentation and the disks you want to defragment.

5. Select Ok.

Disk Defragmenter and Task scheduler corrupted?

I cant run my disk defrag and whenever I try, I get a window that tells me that another program has control of defrag and I can['t run it until the special conditions are removed...then when I try to access task scheduler to see what program has control,
i get a multitude of error windows saying that the scheduler has been corrupted or tampered with...what gives?
