Multiple BSOD in past weeks / months with several type of errors

    Hello,

I am getting Multiple BSOD in past weeks / months with several type of errors like:
    DRIVER_VERIFIER_IOMANAGER_VIOLATION
    SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED_M
    etc...

I have (as always) updated BIOS / drivers and tried to find the root cause so far without result.
Attached the zip file with all details. Your help is welocme.

    Thanks,
    Mustafa

    BSOD- atikmpag.sys

This is most likely due to an installation/upgrade error with ATI driver's. I suggest doing DriveSweeper and the following:
    • Drivesweeper all drivers & in Safe Mode
    • Unistall all drivers that aren't used in DriveSweeper (CCC Profiler Updates, MSI AfterBurner, anything related to ATI that use's it's drivers.)
    • After you do this, the first thing you need to do is go into Device Manager and Unistall your ATI Drivers

Once your done, restart the PC and then try installing the latest drivers.

I had several issues with this in the past, but I overcame it with logical reasoning and whenever I have a driver issue, I just use these steps and I always overcome the problem.

    Best of luck! *Toast :toast:

multiple BSOD's without installing new drivers; windows update?

i don't know where all these BSOD's are coming from.
i haven't changed hardware & i haven't installed any software with drivers since these started.
i checked the windows update list & didn't readily see an update suggesting new drivers were installed.
i've tried to look into the situation myself using a program called 'whocrashed' but i didn't get far.
