Windows 10: Hid keyboard

My keyboard only makes clicking sounds when I type. There is no typing.

Keyboard Color Inversion

Hi Frank,

A factor why you're having keyboard issues is due to driver conflicts. We suggest that you reinstall the keyboard driver. Follow the steps below:

• Press Windows key + X > Device Manager.
• Expand Keyboards > Right-click HID Keyboard Device >
  Properties.
• Go to Driver tab > Uninstall.
• Restart your device.

If the issue still occurs, visit your hardware manufacturer's website and download and install the latest driver.

after logging out then in again, keyboard resets itself for default WHY OH WHY does this supe-dupa win 10 does it???

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

• 
  Right click on Windows Key.
  
• 
  Select Device manager.
  
• 
  Double click on keyboard.
  
• 
  Select and right click on HID keyboard Device.
  
• 
  Select Properties.
  
• 
  Under power management uncheck all the options and check if it helps.

Dell keyboard muted sound if HID service was started

1. When you say “When I type on keyboard sound randomly muted and then unmuted”, do you see a Red X mark on the speaker icon randomly? Please elaborate or provide additional information on this issue.
   
2. When you say “I did uninstall keyboard driver and then install again automatically “, did you install the keyboard drivers directly from the manufacturer’s website?

For the HID Keyboard sound issue, you can follow these steps:

1. Press Windows key + X and click on Device Manager.
   
2. Expand Keyboards.
   
3. Right click on HID keyboard device and select update.
   
4. Once it is done, restart the computer and check if that helps.
