    Hidden Administrator - find


    I'm using Win10


    My ex took my computer and did some internal damage. He isn't smart enough to do it himself and hired a computer geek.


    I have cleaned up many things. Now I'm stuck. I cannot download any files/software. I get a "failed - insufficient permissions" error on everything. I used the troubleshooter and that did nothing.


    I made a new administrator and deleted the old one. I just have a feeling that he has a hidden administrator within and/or loaded spyware on here. All of my accounts were hacked including my. I have as tight of security that I can. I change my passwords frequently.



    When I tried the last assistance, it stated my Wind10 wasn't the correct version to use the method I was trying to use. Using lusrmgr.msc and secpol.msc didn't work. Typing cmd at the interface screen just gives me this . . . C:\Users\Administrator


    Not sure what to do. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

    'Hidden Administrator' account asking for password.

    We would like to clarify how did you enable the Hidden Administrator account. We suggest using the
    Local Security Policy to enable to hidden administrator in Windows 10. Kindly follow these steps:

    • Press Windows key + R to open the Run dialog.
    • Type secpol.msc, and click on OK.
    • In the left pane, click on the Local Policies folder to expand it, and click on the
      Security Options folder.
    • In the right pane of Security Options, double click on
      Accounts: Administrator account status.
    • Select Enabled, and click on OK.

    Thank you for your interest in Windows 10.


    • How many user accounts are setup on the PC?
    I suggest you to check if issue persists in Hidden Admin account. Follow the steps to enable Hidden Admin:


    • Press Windows key + X.

    • Click on Command Prompt (Admin).

    • Type ‘net user administrator /active:yes’ and press Enter.

    • Now check if issue persists on the Hidden admin account.
