Windows 10: High contrast for Dark Mode question

I started a new job where I'm working with a lot of PDF's, so I set my computer's theme to High Contrast Black to reduce eye strain. I also installed Tampermonkey and a script to invert the colors on PDF's when I open them in Chrome. The script works perfectly when my Windows theme is set to normal, but the PDF's revert to the original white background when my High Contrast Black theme is turned on.

Is there a way to only partially apply themes, like setting it so that Chrome isn't affected? Or is there some other sort of workaround I can use?

File Explorer Selective High Contrast mode

Hello Kacson, my name is Paul one of the community experts. I am sorry that you are having issues with your visual settings that is stuck in High Contrast Mode.

Kindly try these steps to check if it can resolve the issue.

Way 1: Turn High Contrast off via keyboard shortcut.

Press left Shift+left Alt+Print Screen to instantly turn it off.

Way 2: Turn off High Contrast through changing the theme.

Step 1: Enter theme in the search box and click Change the theme in the result.

Step 2: Choose a new theme from the offered themes excluding the High Contrast themes.

Way 3: Turn High Contrast off in High contrast settings.

Step 1: Type high contrast in the search box and tap High contrast settings in the result.

Step 2: Click the High Contrast theme (i.e. High Contrast #1, High Contrast #2, High Contrast Black or High Contrast White), choose None in the pop-up list and then hit Apply.

• To turn high contrast mode on or off from the sign-in screen, select the Ease of Access button in the lower-right corner and choose High Contrast.

Dark mode in Windows 11 is contrasting and blurry

Hi, I noticed that it looks fine on startup but after a while it gets blurry. The problem is that it's not just the text but also all the icons in the taskbar like the ones for pycharm, intellij are also blurring. This is also the case for the dark high contrast themes. The lighter high contrast theme seems to work fine just like light mode.
