Windows 10: High definition Audio contoller has code 10

today 1/13/2020 i opened my pc and everything was normal, especially the sound. so then i notice my wifi wasn't working. so i reconnect and disconnect my wifi adapter and it didn't work. so I restarted my pc and then the problems began. the wifi started working but i did not notice the sound, so when i tried to open youtube i couldn't hear anything. then the problem began. here is a list of things that i did. In no order



disconnected and reconnected the headphones

disabled and reenabled them

uninstalled then installed

updated the drivers to new ones and old ones

tried ALOT of fixes on the internet

tried to plug the headphones into different headphone jacks

deleted either upfilter or downfilter in regedit

updated everything that needed to be updated in windows

made sure the actual headphones were working

troubleshooted alot of times

and more

most fixes i did i restarted my pc after

so this is my last resort

:)

 

IDT High Definition Audio CODEC Not Working

I suggest you to update the driver and check if the issue persist.

Follow the steps to Update the driver and check if it helps.

• Press Windows key + X key and click
  Device Manager.
• Select IDT High Definition Audio CODEC on Device Manager.
• Select the Driver tab.
• Click on Update Driver.
• Select the option “browse my computer for driver software”.
• Select the option “let me pick up a list of device drivers on my computer”.
• Select the High Definition Audio Device instead of IDT High Definition" And click next.

Windows High Definition Audio Controller Code 10

Hi all, my High Definition Audio Controller shows up in Device Manager with a yellow exclamation mark and has code 10 in its Properties. I can't play any sound at all. I've tried:

-Uninstalling the High Definition Audio Controller and restarting my computer to no avail

-Using Windows Troubleshooter which couldn't identify the problem. It just said "High Definition Audio Controller has a driver problem".

I'm using Windows on a partition in my 2012 Macbook Pro running Mojave. The Windows partition was installed using a bootable USB.

thread that was provided by Rajesh Govind on November 18, 2013. This is for Windows 8.1 and will also work for Windows 10.
