High performance power plan decreases screen brightness

Hi I'm using bootcamp on a macbookpro and when I change the power plan from "balanced" to "high performance" the maximum screen brightness becomes much lower. When I go to advanced power settings, I see no option to turn off the adaptive screen brightness or whatever is causing this to happen. I'm using Windows 10 pro version 1903

    :)

Permanently set specific brightness percentage for power plan

Here is how to set screen brightness by percentage :

    1. Open Power Options, and click on Change plan settings for your current power plan.
    2. Click on Change advanced power settings
    3. In your current active power plan's (ex: High Performance) advanced settings, expand Display and Display brightness
    4. Change the brightness percentage to the level you want, and click on OK.

    Power plan?

Upon checking, it seems that there's nothing wrong with your system. It is usual that you have to double-click your mouse before your monitor wakes up.

For the meantime, we suggest changing the power plan by following the steps below:

    • Press Windows key + S.
    • Type in Power Settings.
    • On the pop-up window, choose Additional power settings.
    • Select High performance.

After changing the power plan, we suggest that you monitor the changes made and check if that will work for you.

Get back to us if you need further help.
