    HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GUB0N hidden/missing DVD Rom


    I have the above driver on my Windows 10 PC - it appears in Device Manager, but only when show hidden devices is on.

    The device says it is disconnected, but it's not it's plugged in, used to work fine then a windows update at some point stopped it.


    i open the Device Manager and expand "IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers" it shows : Interl (R) 100 Series/C230 Chipset Family SATA AHCI Controller



    driver version is : 15.2.0.1020

    Then click on the "Details" tab , then choose "Hardware Ids" from the drop-down menu under "Property".

    HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GT70N dvd player with Windows 10

    I have the HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GT70N dvd player in my Asus X55U laptop. It was fine until I upgraded to Windows 10, but now the player is not visible anywhere - no autoplay, nothing - not visible among the drives etc.

    In the device manager it is listed as 'other devices -HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GT70N - with a question mark.

    I can insert a dvd and I can hear that the player physically starts to rotate briefly, but then it stops again and nothing happens.

    I have tried to find and update a driver, but Windows says no driver is available.

    I am not even sure it is a driver problem.

    Please help

    mon lecteur DVD hl-dt-st dvdram gt51n ne fonctionne plus (ne plus les DVD ni les CD audio) alors que "le périphérique fonctionne correctement" s'affiche.
